How far are we from the promised land?

Hi,

I'm just wondering of how far are Multichain from being able to be implemented in a credit card company like Visa or Mastercard, where millions of transactions happen every day.

What would have to change to accomplish such mission?

If I just add right now 10.000 or 1M nodes would solve it?

Adding nodes doesn't help with scalability since every node still has to process every transaction.

Right now MultiChain can handle around 200 tx/sec on regular low-end hardware, which, allowing for peaks and troughs, translates to around 10 million transactions per day. It can handle more on higher-end hardware.

So perhaps we are already in the promised land?
