Web demo from the perspective of a nonadmin (genesis block miner) perspective

I was wondering if there is a way to use the web demo from the perspective of a node that does not have full privileges (to demo the fact that they cannot write to certain streams and that their permissions are different). Currently, when I try to access the web demo from another node on my local computer I get an http 401 error. Thanks

There's no problem using the Web Demo with any node, it does not have to have full privileges.

The issue is more likely to be that the other node is not configured to allow JSON RPC API requests from anything other than its own IP address. Look up rpcallowip in this Q&A for more information.
