admin-consensus-*, permissions missing

+3 votes
Hi.

I have a question concerning the admin-consensus-* parameters.

connect, send and receive are missing here.

Does this mean that a single admin is always able to add new nodes to the network without the permission of other admin nodes?

If so, what is the reason for that?

Greetings,

Alex

Yes, this is how the permissions system is currently designed, because granting connect, send and receive permissions is a much lower risk action than the other types of permissions that can be made subject to administrator consensus. Also an address with activate permissions is able to change these permissions, but not any others.

Hi.

Thanks for the information. You can argue if this is a low risk feature if a single admin is able to allow access to a private blockchain. :-)
