How to stop a multichain?

I know that multichaind chain1 -daemon initiates the chain, but how do i stop or delete it. Is there a specific command or do i got .multichain folder and delete the contents of the folder of that particular chain to stop and delete it.

To stop a node running, issue the stop command via the API or command line (which is just a wrapper for the API anyway). To delete a node's files once it's not running, delete the appropriate subdirectory of the ~/.multichain/ directory on Linux.
