BIP 91 & Segwit public Bitcoin pegging to MultiChain

In consideration of the forthcoming transition to the public Bitcoin network itself, how will the changes to the network affect Multichain, if at all, when pegging to external chain for currency functions.

MultiChain does not support SegWit itself, so if/when SegWit is activated on the bitcoin network, you should probably not use it as a bitcoin node directly – instead, use the latest version of Bitcoin Core. However none of this should make a difference in terms of any pegging mechanism you're using – just use Bitcoin Core to connect to the bitcoin blockchain, and MultiChain to connect to the other chains.
