Clarification on autosubscribe

Thanks for the explanation. So what does autosubscribe actually means? Does it means autosubscribed to all streams on the chain? If that is the case, that means if there are 10000 streams, nodes will be automatically downloading from all 10000 of them and more for new streams?

The autosubscribe option makes the node subscribe to every new stream (and/or asset) that is created. It doesn't cause the node to subscribe to streams/assets that were created before this option is activated.
