Two Nodes show different Blocks in response to getinfo

I got both the nodes up on the same machine.

Now when I run a getinfo on the second node it show a different block number as against the count for the block parameter on the first node.

Could this be because nodes are synchronizing?
related to an answer for: error: incorrect rpcuser or rpcpassword (authorization failed)

I guess it was more of a Sync. issue without any change at my end. I rechecked after the Sync. was over and it is reflecting now.
