Renaming an asset

Can I rename an asset? I understand that the asset has an internal reference number , hence this question.
I wanted to try out a scenario where I want to transfer an entity from one node to another ( in this case I chose to create an asset with non-breakable unit value of least unit possible ) and when it receives to second node, I wanted to see if there is a way to change the asset name of nodes choice.

I'm afraid it's not currently possible to rename an asset in this way. For this kind of information updating scenario you might want to look into streams, although you can't currently make a stream which can only be written to by somebody holding a particular asset at that point in time.
