Off-chain for Community Edition

Ares there any advantages of storing data using the off-chain option during publishing when using the Community Edition of MultiChain? From what I gathered so far, only Enterprise Edition has features to control off-chain data. Thanks.

For the Community edition the main advantages are related to scalability:

  • Supports items over 1 GB in size instead of 64 MB limit for on-chain items.
  • Only nodes subscribed to the stream store the full data, and other nodes save disk space and bandwidth.
