You can have a blockchain with only one node, but in order to use the benefits of a blockchain, you're going to need to have multiple nodes i.e. a chain of nodes.

Can you please share the use case that you think requires only one node?

Thanks

My case is I need to have users with their wallets and balance on it. I can't have a node for each user. So as I understand I can have only one node, all users will be connected to the node and have their own addresses (wallets?).
Based on your description, is there a reason why you're not using a regular centralized database for this application?
Yes, I want to understand how I can build decentralized system with users and their wallets based on multichain.
