Guidance on implementing a cryptocurrency on mutlichain

+1 vote
I have setup my chain on a few nodes, customised asset, setup block explorer and front end demo.

How do I implement a cryptocurrency on top of this? I am noobish at this and have been wanting to do everything myself but I am a bit confused on the difference between an asset and a cryptocurrency.

Can on chain assets do the same function? Or do I need to tie a cryptocurrency to my existing blockchain? If that makes sense lol

Just need pointed in the right direction really!

Thanks

If you want to use MultiChain to manage a cryptocurrency which is presumably open to the world, you should use the native blockchain currency rather than issued assets. This let you create a fee mechanism by which users have to pay for their transactions. Without this, the chain is totally open to be spammed by anyone at no cost. But there's quite a bit more it it than that, so if you want to create a serious cryptocurrency you should consult with an expert who can help you configure all the parameters correctly.
