Stream permissions on a higher level

+2 votes
Dear developers of MultiChain,

is there a way to assign the write permissions for a stream on a higher level, i.e. not to single addresses, but to a group of addresses?

I used multisignature addresses for this purpose, but the multisignature concept does not exactly match my needs:

- every transaction needs m out of n signatures

- multisignature addresses change as soon as the participating unicast addresses change

I'm afraid to assign write permissions for each unicast address separately because I expect a very high number of streams and users. If I wanted to revoke the permissions of a single user for all of his streams (e.g. several thousand), it would be necessary to perform a lot of revoke transactions (which have to be approved by administrators separately).

Thanks in advance & best regards!

Thanks for this question. It's a fair request, but I'm afraid it's not currently possible. This is the kind of thing that will be possible using filters and user-defined permissions, which are on their way in MultiChain 2.0:
