Is it possible the second server is already connected to the first one, from another running copy of multichaind? You can check by using MultiChain's getpeerinfo command on the first server, or ps -x in the command line on the second. If you want to run multiple nodes of MultiChain on the same named blockchain on one server, you need to use the -datadir runtime parameter to use a different directory.
