VMware-Ubuntu 16 64 bit can not connect to AWS EC2 AMI

+1 vote
Hello,

I have the error can not connect multichain ... check firewall etc. I'm trying to connect local virtual machine to cloud docker. I'm able to connect multichain between 2 different EC2 AMI and I'm able to connect multichain between 2 VMware-Ubuntu (running on same computer). I'm not able to connect the local VM to cloud EC2 or vice versa..

How can I resolved this issue ?

Best,

Etienne

One likely problem is that the IP addresses you're being shown to use for the connections are not right. MultiChain nodes apply a heuristic to discover their own IP addresses, which are displayed to you, but this heuristic can be wrong in unusual setups. Please try connecting using the appropriate external IP address.

Another likely problem is that the (software) firewall running on the cloud EC2 instance is blocking incoming connections on the appropriate port. It's beyond our scope here to give specific instructions for resolving that, but iptables is a good place to start.
