Connecting through VM instances giving a lock error

0 votes

I have created a vm instance running multichain as the first server and the host linux system as the second server. Although I am able to SSH from host to VM and back successfully, I see the following error, when typing in, multichaind CHAIN_NAME@<IP ADDRESS:PORT>:

"IO Error: lock /Lock:permissions.db/LOCK: ~./PATH Resource temporarily address

ERROR: Coultn initialize permission database for network CHAIN_NAME"

I believe I have been able to connect through to the network, but some permissions are not allowing the conection. This is because the last time I was able to go through the whole tutorial, however, this time I couldn't find an address when the chain in server 1 was initialized using the above command

Could you please suggest?.

It sounds like the blockchain is already running on that node, and this is the error message that appears when you try to run it again in a separate message. (We need to improve the error message, of course.)

Does that make sense?
