Can we change rpcpassword?

Can we change the rpcpassword which is automatically generated on node startup? If I am doing that, I am not able to stop a node using the stop command?

Yes, you can change the rpcpassword in multichain.conf, but you need to stop the node first using the stop API command, then edit the config file, then re-run multichaind.
