A doubt about Multichain node crash

Hello, we have a wallet application using Multichain in production for asset management and transactions. Since last year Multichain has been running satisfactorily until on 01-28-2022 the main MC node crashed, we do not know what the reason for the crash is, we reviewed the MC log and did not find a specific reason. Attached part of the log at the time of the crash.

Can a server create stream object without any connected node??

Is it obligatory for a server to be connected with a second node before creating a stream or asset object??

Can a server create stream or asset object in standalone mode as well??

I am just beginning to install and start to implement 'multichain', version 1.6. Currently I want to implemet a demo on my own single system. How can I use a seond server(as in the 'Getting started') web page. Can I use a virtual machine for my second server?

Obtaining addresses in multichain from a remote url server

Hello , I have a wallet and a node running multichain in bitcoin compatible mode . I want to set up a remote URL that provides randomly an address when a wallet connects , just like we open a wallet in bitcoin and this URL gives a random address the first time this connects . Web Application on MultiChain

Hi Team,

I'm developing an web application on top of MultiChain, I have few queries listed below,

Is there any possible or API to add new node to the chain, since it's a web application can't ask the user to use the same machine (if we are going to handle the user based on the IP address)
Other than getnewaddress, is there any possible to handle the mapping the user and the account
When we use getnewaddress all the transactions will be stored on only one machine, then how the application will be a blockchain application, what if something happen to that machine
With MultiChain, through command line is the only option that we can do communication between the nodes?

Can you please correct me if am wrong. Or suggest me the right/best practice.

I tried to test getting data from chain1with this in line command:
multichain-cli chain1 getblockchainparams
but I got this error :
error: couldn't connect to server

I started the multichain server and connected to chain1 node but I got the same error.

Send Permissions on Multichain

Hello!

I have a question about some security concerns we have about Multichain. If we have 1 multichain node with send/receive permissions with Wallet A, and another multichain node with send/receive permissions with Wallet B.

We can log into the Multichain node for Wallet A and send funds from Wallet A to Wallet B. The conern is that while we are on the node for Multichain Wallet A, we can also access Wallet B, and we can send funds from Wallet B to Wallet A without Wallet B's consent/permission. This is bad and a security concern.

Question:
Is there anyway to make transactions private and restrict them so that only that wallet owner can execute transactions for that Wallet. For example Wallet A, should only be able to withdraw from Wallet A, and only Wallet A.

Im trying to run multichain web demo but this message is showing instead of the nodes.

Node 1 : Windows machine.

Node 2 : Ubuntu machine.

I tried to give persmission to the second as specified in the documentation by command

"multichain-cli chain3 grant 1fJan1FJVsRJY2mwAZ7BRZQDNJY2RnUdeFGfo connect,send,receive"

but i get an error stating: could'nt connect to server. Please enlighten on this and help.

Firewall is off in windows and cmd is in admin mode.

The requested URL /multichain-web-demo was not found on this server.

I installed the Multichain web demo and am having trouble connecting. My Multichain explorer works fine. It's only the demo that I cannot connect to. I followed all the instructions on the page (https://github.com/MultiChain/multichain-web-demo), but I'm getting the error listed above.

First, I tried running the default.rpchost in config.txt as the local host (127.0.0.1) but I still got the same error. (The rest of my configurations in config.txt are correct. I'm using the right rpcport, username, and password). Then, I changed the default.rpchost to the IP address to the server of my first node which is where I installed the Multichain web demo. I then stopped the Multichain server, went into the multichain.conf file and then added "rpcallowip=server's IP address" and then restarted the server & tried to run it again. I ended up with the same error. Not sure how to proceed and would appreciate any help!

Issue regarding WebDemo setup

Hello everyone,

I am trying to get the WebDemo API to work on my computer after following every step from the tutorial.

Details:

- Running a local Apache web server on a Windows computer
- My issue is regarding the first lines of the index.php file :

where does the $_GET['chain'] come from ? It is basically the 5th code line and nothing happens before so I am wondering how this variable is setup. This variable is the base of all my problems given it prevents my computer from getting the right configuration.

- Trying to fix this, I manually set this variable to the name of my chain, I then get the HTTP Error 400. My question is then, is it possible, that even if my chain and my Apache server are on the same computer, I still have to configure my web demo considering my web site is on another server ?

My Apache is running on port 80 and address 127.0.0.1 (e.g. localhost) and my chain is running only on my computer.

Connection from outside

Is it possible to make connection to multichain from the outer network, instead of localhost?

let say i have user A connected to my server multichain which i added connection permissions to his address.

After user A changed his network connection, let say he went to another country, is it possible for him to connect to my server? Or i need to grant a new connection permission again?
