Certificate not found should result in error

Hi.

I think it would be a good idea to exit multichaind and throw an error if you provide parameters for certificate and private key but multichaind cannot find / open the files.

For now, MultiChain starts up as normal and you will only realize the problem when explicitely looking into debug.log for a line like:

2018-09-20 07:31:43 ThreadRPCServer ERROR: missing server certificate file /home/mc/cert.pem
2018-09-20 07:31:43 ThreadRPCServer ERROR: missing server private key file /home/mc/key.pem

Greetings,

rpckeepalive: performance drops vs port freeze

Hi,

is there any news on the rpc freeze problem?
https://www.multichain.com/qa/7006/node-rpc-completely-freezes-rpcssl?show=7178#a7178

What I still experience (v1.0.4):
Everything works fine using rpckeepalive=0 but there is another problem:

The performance (tx/s) decreases a lot when using rpckeepalive=0
I only get ~ 100 tx/s throughput when using rpckeepalive=0 (and rpcssl).

If I enable rpckeepalive I get ~800 tx/s (!)
But still the rpc api freezes after some time.

I think the problem only appears when using it together with rpcssl because every new requests has to open a new connection and has to do the ssl handshake all over again.

So:
keepalive=0 has a really bad performance (at least when using rpcssl?)
keepalive=1 freezes the node on high load after no more than 30 seconds.

How can i use rpcssl??

Hello multichain developers~

I have questions because I have difficulty using rpcssl.

Below is my multichain.conf.

-----------------multichain.conf-----------------
rpcuser=multichainrpc
rpcpassword=88888888
rpcport=4443
rpcallowip=192.168.0.0/24
rpcssl=1
rpcsslcertificatechainfile=server.cert
rpcsslprivatekeyfile=server.pem
rpcsslciphers=TLSv1.2+HIGH:TLSv1+HIGH:!SSLv2:!aNULL:!eNULL:!3DES:@STRENGTH
server=1
-------------------------------------------------

And then ran multichain through $ multichaind test -daemon.

If i enter

$ multichain-cli test getinfo,

I get a response:

error: no response from server.

Also, if i enter

$ curl --user multichainrpc --data-binary '{"jsonrpc": "1.0", "id":"curltest", "method": "getinfo", "params": [] }' -H 'content-type: text/plain;' https://192.168.0.125:4443/

I get a response:

curl: (35) gnutls_handshake() failed: The TLS connection was non-properly terminated.

The above settings are all.
