revoke read permissions not working

I have used the steps for revoking read permissions for one stream created in which I have stored some data.As per site directions at https://www.multichain.com/getting-started/ section 5, the moment the permissions are revoked, the data should not be seen on the second server, but it is seen always irrespective. Steps server 1 are

- create stream store1 '{"restrict":"read,write"}'

- publish store1 id_123456 '{"json":{"source":"Singapore","destination":"Los Angeles"}}' offchain

- publish store1 id_234567 '{"json":{"source":"Rotterdam","destination":"New York"}}' offchain

- grant 1K5FhCZgZXs7GPDiE5mz8udRCyuWFbaMgbWXMj store1.read (## to grant the second server read permissions and after this i am able to see the data at second server##)

- revoke 1K5FhCZgZXs7GPDiE5mz8udRCyuWFbaMgbWXMj store1.read

but after this step too....I am able to read the data at second server..

where I am doing wrong?

Hello,

I've been experimenting with MC and I encountered this scenario: Any of the admin nodes on a a network can solely throttle it by just revoking the connect permission to all the other nodes.

I tried to look for a way to limit such a behaviour (something like admin-consensus-connect) but I couldn't find any, and in the scenario I am trying to build, I require multiple admin nodes in order to avoid a single point of failure.

Looking forward to your thoughts on the matter

Does anything change for Addresses and Assets when a node is connect revoked

Hi,

Regarding the statement, "If permission to connect to the network is revoked from an address, nodes immediately disconnect any connections with nodes that used the revoked address during handshaking."

When an address or node has it's connection right revoked, what happens to the addresses and assets created by the revoked address or node? I assume the assets and other addresses that are part of the revoked node or address are still available to the network, chain, and other addresses; is that correct?

As a follow-up, what happens when the connect rights are re-granted to the previously revoked node/address?

I revoked permissions to particular address like issue connect send receive but he is able to issue send receive and connect to the multichain...

A Node was given Admin permission

A Node was given the Connect.

(deliberately two different API calls)

The Node connected fine.

While connected,
the Node was revoked of Connect
the Node was revoked of Admin

I can see the node not connected in the MultiChain Demo PHP application, however the Node command
multichaind blockchain -daemon outputs node started as before when the permissions were granted.

My thinking was either the node would be "kicked", or when restarting the node would not be able to connect, but it seems to remember the node and starts correctly. There is no clue at this point in the connection process that it would have insufficient privileges.
