Slow reindex probably due to high mempool

Hi,

My node has been reindexing for 3 weeks. Right now it has synchronized/checked 5kk out of 8kk blocks.

Mempool is very high, around 1.1k. My question is, what's the best way to handle this situation and what will happen if I restart multichain service during reindex process?

I'm not concerned about losing mempool since I can replicate the value(docs hash) of transactions. My primary goal is to get the node running correctly asap. Unfortunately, I do not have backup/snapshot of the node.

In what case do I need "reindex"?

Sometimes this happens when I re-run the Multichain daemon again.

Does the daemon fail to shutdown normally?

handshakelocal parameter is ignored

Unfortunately the only admin node's DB in my network became corrupt. I have tried to reindex, which did not help, so I have followed your instructions to:

delete everything but the multichain.conf and wallet.dat
connected to an other node to replicate the data
tried to start up the local installation with the -handshakelocal=<address> parameter

The address is the main address I had on the admin node and the only with admin permission. I tried to define the parameter with and without ' ', tried to put it into the multichain.conf, but whenever I try to start the blockchain, it insists on the newly created address:

$ multichaind zolichain1 --handshakelocal=1TFvWaHMkbBUnfGyXJZgtxCmMHmqMytiPz24Lm
