Hello,

I set up 2 nodes on one machine following the above instructions, on a VirtualBox instance using Ubuntu 18.04. I was following the Multichain getting started guide, and everything worked correctly until I got to the step where I ran liststreams into the command client/interactive mode. This caused the following error:

*** stack smashing detected ***: <unknown terminated>

error: no response from server

After this, any other commands in the interactive mode will result in no response from the server, until I restart the chain (using -daemon.)

The way I'm going through the tutorial is by having the "first server" on one open terminal, and the "second server" (the .multichain-other node) on a second open terminal. Is there any way around this issue? Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks!

I have hosted the multichain on the Digital ocean, And when ever am trying to issuing the asset (through API)am getting the following error

*** buffer overflow detected ***: multichaind terminated

The same code base which is working fine in my local though. The Digital ocean machine details as below,

OS: Ubuntu 16.04.3 LTS

RAM: 1GB

Memory; 20 GB

Swap: 2GB

Is there any problem with the system requirements to run Multichain.

Error to compile in ubuntu 14.04 from source

Hi guys when I run ./autogen.sh I get:

libtoolize: AC_CONFIG_MACRO_DIR([build-aux/m4]) conflicts with .CLOCAL_AMFLAGS=-I build-aux/m4
autoreconf: libtoolize failed with exit status: 1

Blocknotify and Walletnotify

Can someone please give an example of using blocknotify and walletnotify? These are what i tried for:

multichaind mychain -daemon blocknotify myecho # myecho is a working script to echo hello world

multichaind surveychain -daemon blocknotify echo "hello world"

multichain build with libdb4.8 dependencies

I have tried to build multichain from sources using ubuntu 14.04 , but libdb4.8-dev is no more avaiable.

I downloaded it from http://download.oracle.com/berkeley-db/db-4.8.30.NC.tar.gz and compiled it, but launching multichaind I got an Error initializing wallet database environment that suggests I did something wrong.

Moreover the multichain-util build launched in another ubuntu system, where the downloaded binaries work, fails as follows:

multichain-util: error while loading shared libraries: libboost_system.so.1.54.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Could you update your Linux Build Notes to build binaries working on most distro ?
