Send multiply assets in one transaction

Hi, so, two different users, sent me 2 different assets, A and B, obviously, UTXOs with this assets resides in different transactions. What I want, is to consume this UTXOs and send TX to another user with assets A+B in one transaction? Just like we do with native coin, combining UTXOs value until it become >= the value we want to send. All my tries failed with typical node error, mandatory-script-verify-flag. All inputs are signed as it needs to be done with native coin inputs.

Second question, so if the case above is not possible and I will need to create two TXs to send asset A and B, will I be able to send assets A and B in one transaction in case this assets resides in one UTXO from one user?

Hello:

I am rather new to this software. I made some progress, I can setup dual nodes in Linux and issue some tokens.

Now, I want go one step further, the details:

On node1, create chain1, and create token called DollarETH1 for 200 units; on node2, create chain2, and create token called DollarETH2 for 200 units.

Then I will send 100 DollarETH1 from node1 to node2 in node2’s address, then I will send 100 DollarETH2 from node2 to node1. Thus simulate multi-chain wallet to send and receive tokens, like: send USDT to and from ERC20/BEP20 networks.

I think I can do this by hand.

But I would like you provide some ideas on how to do this by API, like JavaScript or Python on Linux.

I want to know how to select different network via API.

However, after some time, if I am familiar those steps by API, then I want to go live, but then I can only use Windows 10.

I want to know how can I put the multi-chain wallet address under control of multi-chain in Windows 10.

Let’s say if I can create 2 addresses by third party software, I get their private keys. For one address, I want to be able to send and receive tokens via ERC20 and BEP20 network, as their address format is almost the same; I want to have another address can receive and send tokens via HECO network.

Please advice if it is possible via mutlichain, if possible, please give a general idea on how to proceed.

Additional question, if i have some assets: x(10) y(10) z(10) and I am sending one X asset to someone, this tx should ALWAYS contain change vout with x(9) y(10) z(10) and if I am creating tx from scratch (without multichaind) - I will have to create this change output by myself with all unspent assets I have?

Hi, i'm trying to understand raw transaction.

n[0] vout contains new issuance quantity metadata before OP_DROP and stuff;

n[1] vout contains name of new asset before OP_DROP and stuff;

Its pretty clear. But..

What is vout n[2] for? It is utxo for some address without any value in native coin. How the address mentioned in this vout interacts with newly created asset if it does?

I have created a blockchain and did some asset transactions between the addresses, and added a node to the blockchain. Then tried to do the transaction on the new node ( The connected one), I got the following response.

Did I miss anything on the permission side or have to pass any command to import the address to the new node?

Hi, I'm working on a typescript wrapper for multichain. Since typescript is very unforgiving with simply giving something an "Object" type I'm trying to figure out all parameters for the commands.

I am working on an automated solution that relies on the creation of a native currency. The native currency has been created and when I run listassets i get

Everyone can send and receive, Address A is God.

Time T0:
- Address A issues asset X for address B

Time T1:

- Address B has to issue one more asset X for Address C.

The first time T0 is covered already, I'm curious how I could do T1? If I give issue permission to B he can issue anything he wants, right? How can I limit him to only being able to issuemore of that specific address.

I'm treating the possession of X as a certificate of authority. Imagine your house's keys. You can make a copy and gives it to your friend. (Your friend could also do an copy, even tho that's not ideally, but can we prevent it somehow this?)

So, in summary: (1) How can I limit an address to only being able to issuemore from a token it holds? And also: is there anyway to prohibit others that hold it to issuemore? (2)

I had this idea:
(1): Maybe only those with custom permissions can issue at all and I restrict it using Smart Filters: (a) only high3 can issues, (b) you can only issuemore if you have any balance of that address and (c) you can only transfer your whole asset?
(2) Insert the original owner on the asset's details, and create a Smart Filter that only lets someone issuemore if it matches the owner described in the asset's details that they should have a balance of.

Would those two ideas together work? It does seem so...

A high volume of assets can slow the performance of the blockchain? Internally in the blockchain moving 1 asset to another address is the same like moving 10000 assets? I mean the 1 assets transaction represents the same amount of memory and cpu resources that the 10000 transaction in the node?

If i have a system with an asset representing currency (USD) and another one representing some virtual item (Item).

I then "buy" 10 "items" for 1 "USDs" each.

i have deployed a Multichain blockchain on my desktop pc (i5@3.20Ghz, 8GB RAM) with 2 nodes. The performance is really low, since i am getting like 1 tx/s.

My params configurations looks as follows:

target-block-time = 2
maximum-block-size = 1000000000
anyone-can-send = true
anyone-can-receive = true
setup-first-blocks = 60
mining-diversity = 0.5

max-std-tx-size = 10000

Also i am using Windows cmd with a for loop to generate transactions:

Just reading, you are unable to create any more native currency other than that from the initial setup? Lets say I don't want a native currency, but I want multiple tokens and I want a fee to come from these asset amounts? Is there any possible way for this to happen? Just curious to know if there is any provision of locking the asset on the chain only of the certain period of time.
So that if someone is not completing the Atomic-swap the assets automatically should go back to initial owners wallet instead of sitting as locked-but-unspent assets in the wallet.

I have some doubts regarding streams and asset..
1)stream is used for general data store in blockchain and retrieval from blockchain so for that one file is created for data base whicjh maitain all those transaction (~/.multichain directory). My question is it is just act as channed between all nodes?and it is specifically used for storing data and retrieving data?
2) when we do asset transaction without stream then where all this asset transaction store in multichain?
3) what would be the benefit of creating stream and asset both together ? i mean this is for confidentiality pupose rather then open transaction?

Regarding the statement, "If permission to connect to the network is revoked from an address, nodes immediately disconnect any connections with nodes that used the revoked address during handshaking."

When an address or node has it's connection right revoked, what happens to the addresses and assets created by the revoked address or node? I assume the assets and other addresses that are part of the revoked node or address are still available to the network, chain, and other addresses; is that correct?

As a follow-up, what happens when the connect rights are re-granted to the previously revoked node/address?

I've been playing around with MultiChain Web Demo and got 'Error: HTTP 200' when I uploaded a file within the Issue Assets section. I took a look at it in the multichain-cli with the 'listwallettransaction' command and it looks like the @file value contains a open double quote (") which improperly quits the JSON.

Is there a way to fix this? Did I break the chain? Could someone shed light on why this happening even though I'm still able to issue assets within the CLI.

Hi experts,

I have a supply chain scenario in which I'd like to track the transfer of an asset between multiple parties. The main reason for doing this is to ensure that I can track the location of the asset and to know who to blame in case the asset is lost or stolen.

So I have two main problems:

The representation of the asset. For example, Party1 issues an asset and sends it to himself to signal that he is the current owner.
Ensure the validity of a transfer. Party1 now wants to send this asset to Party2.

For problem 1, I suppose simply using the asset API will fit my needs. In this case, I simply creating 1 unit of the asset and preventing more units from being created will be enough.

However for problem 2, I need to prevent invalid transfers. For example, I would like to allow Party2 to confirm that it really received the asset before the transaction is closed, otherwise Party1 could send the asset to Party2 in the blockchain while keeping possession of it in the real world, and then Party2 could be accused of stealing the asset. Any suggestions for solving problem 2?

Its created successfully. Now I want to change the partner name with some other participant in the multichain network.

Means Other user fetch the asset and change the value of Partner filed. The asset creator has given the permission to other user.

Please give some sample example. I am unable to understand the parameters in multichain Json-rpc command page.

IssueFrom and Publish performance as asset number grows

I've noticed the performance of both the IssueFrom and Publish calls degrade significantly as the number of assets on the chain grows, even at relatively small numbers.

I found that the first issue command took 4ms, but the 10,000th issuance took over 100ms

My setup is a Node JS app and chain(single node) spun up with docker-compose.

Multichain version is 1.0.5.

I have been using the multichain-node library but also tried my own code to directly talk to the chain. There wasn't much performance difference (my own code was actually a bit slower).

I tried to issue an asset by using issue command using mcrpc:

but when I run client.getaddressbalances('48j2dRc9VFHBq2cmEHW79wHJhw9gU9E12qL5Us') I got empty list
[] while this address appear in client.listaddresses() . So what is wrong here?

hello, is there any limitation in the max amount of assets in a node.I have tried to issue 20 thousand asset to an address, and when i look up the debug.log, there exists some problem.

Feature request: permission groups

If I have a million users, and I add a new currency or stream that is closed, then I would have to do a million transactions to give them all access to the stream or asset right?

Cant you add some permission groups so this is easier to achieve?

Then when an asset or stream is made, they are added to the group, then the user group can use them.

Hi!

I'm just getting into Multichain, so I'm not familiar with all features and possibilities yet. ;)

For my use-case it would be very useful to be able to link permissions to holding an asset. More specific: If someone has asset A he would have e.g. the permission to write to stream S.

My intention is to be able to have and write metadata of asset A (in stream S). And: If asset A is transfered the ability to write metadata is transfered to the holder of asset A, too.

Is there a (native) posibility to achieve this? If there is a more MultiChainy solution to this, please give a hint! ;)

edit: I had a look at sendwithdata where data can be passed to a stream. But I think the write permission in this case has to be assigned before, right?

1. Can we give permission for fields? Using stream or assets?

Automatic atomic exchanges across nodes

I need the ability to exchange assets between two addresses that are in wallets on different nodes in an automatic way, how can this be done?

i.e: I can issue preparelockunspent, and createrawexchange which outputs some hexdata on one node, but then that data needs to be available to the appropriate nodes, and there is no way of knowing the node that an address belongs to. Additionally, nodes may not have the public keys of addresses on other nodes to do any form of encryption.

Question 1: When I create an exchange can I specify the partner address(es)? so that ONLY the addresses specified can sign and complete the transactions without creating a multisig address?
Question 2: Is it secure to store this hexdata on a stream? perhaps using a key of the destination address
Question 3: if the hexdata is on a stream securely, and each node can find pending exchanges for addresses in their wallet... then how would I go about marking that exchange as 'invalid' after completing the exchange so that it does not need to be read from the stream again?

how to update asset in multichain

Hi Multichain team you guys have been awesome. i have one more doubt regarding asset.

lets suppose i created an asset along with metadata like price,status etc. i used createrawsendfrom api to create an asset and sign this from private key outside of the wallet.

now how can i update the asset later.lets say i want to update the status field of asset to available. i understand in blockchain there is no concept of update so do i have to use issuemore command with qty=0 and different metadata to update the asset or if i can use stream in some way. what do you suggest? how to go about it
